Food & Wine Marketplaces
Despite COVID-19, the Italian Food & Wine industry continues to grow and drive the national economy. For this reason the first BrandOn Focus is dedicated to “Food & Wine”.
Paola Marzario, founder of BrandOnGroup and international expert of Marketplace, has coordinated this moment of confrontation to help Italian companies of the sector to understand how to seize the opportunities arising from this new channel.
The event, in partnership with Alimentando.info reference magazine for the Food & Wine trade, took stock of the situation updated to March 2022.
High-level guests contributed to the discussion and brought their experience:
- Angelo Frigerio, CEO of Edizioni Turbo, publisher of Alimentando.info, presented a proprietary research where he highlighted the difficulties of the current context and found in Marketplaces a potential help.
- Jose Rallo, CEO of Donnafugata and member of the CDA of Agenzia ICE, explained how institutions support Italian companies that want to strengthen their presence in foreign markets;
- Pierpaolo Alberici, Marketplace Success Manager, told the story and the solutions offered by Vivino. An online community that has become an important marketplace dedicated to wine;
- Yari Tarantino, Sales and eCommerce Manager of Batasiolo, an important wine company in the Langhe region, shared his experience in bringing his product to an international marketplace;
- Maria Elena Esposito, Digital Marketing Manager of Pasta Garofalo, a historic pasta factory in Gragnano example reported her work with also sharing results and successes;
- Rosario Scarpato, founder & Director of Italian Wine Crypto Bank, transported us to a not too distant future, telling us how wine and loyalty services can be linked to NFT, blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
